Although my day job is working as a registered nurse, I have always found that my true passion was in creating … Whether it be works of art, stories, or simple songs on a guitar, i find that I am never without some kind of project to complete. Now, as a mother of two children, there is a never-ending list of projects always keeping me busy. As a child, I would get lost in the fantastical stories of Roald Dahl, be amazed by the detailed illustrations of Chris Van Allsburg, and laugh at the silly poems of Shel Silverstein. I often found myself writing my own stories hoping to keep the adventures of my favorite books going. it wasn’t until I had my own children that I really set myself on writing, illustrating, and publishing a children’s book of my own. My first book, Bugtown was inspired by my, then, newborn daughter and her nursery theme which was bugs. I knew that her theme needed a story along with it, so I wrote a poem about happy bugs who lived in a little town that no one knew about.  That is when Bugtown was born (along with my beautiful daughter)!
I am working on several other children’s books and hope to release more in the future, but in the meantime, check out Bugtown going on sale July 27,2022
